Right now, for a limited time, home buyers may qualify for up to $18,000 in tax credits at MBK Homes communities throughout Southern California.

The amazing savings begin with the California tax credit, which is 5% of the purchase price of the MBK home or $10,000, whichever is lower. This program has no income limitations, no first-time buyer requirement and no repayment for owners who live in their home for at least two years. This credit can only be used for the purchase of a newly constructed home that has not been previously occupied.

The savings continue with the $8,000 federal tax credit, which is available only to buyers who have not owned a home in the past three years and who have income of less than $75,000 ($150,000 for a married couple). Three years of occupancy is all it takes to avoid repaying the credit.

Time is of the essence because both of these credits are available for a limited period of time. The California credit is good until March 2010 or whenever the funds allocated for it run out, which will most likely be sooner. The federal credit expires November 30, 2009. "Buying an MBK home is always a smart move," stated Tim Kane, president of MBK Homes, "and now it's one you simply can't afford to miss. Act now and let the government put money in your pocket for a change."
